Automatic Clear Juice Filter
GENERAL SPECIFICATION :
DESIGN FEATURES :
With the drain / purge valve closed, Clear juice enters the filter at its inlet nozzle and fills all the filter tubes before coming out through the outlet nozzle as filtered clear juice . Filtration takes place inside to outside with respect to filter tubes which are welded wedge wire type & mounted on a holding plate. All those bagasse & other solid particles larger than the slot opening (i.e. filtr ation rating) are retained on its surface while the small er particles escape.
Since the drain / purge valve is closed solid parti cles get concentrated inside the filtering tubes th us slowly building up differential pressure between in let & outlet. Once the preset differential pressure or the preset timer is reached, motorized backwash arm will start rotating slowly and at the same time drain / purge valve opens automatically. Each filter tube gets backflushed by the filtered clear juice itself. With purge valve open to the atmosphere fi ltered liquid rushes back in reverse direction through that particular filter tube which is matchi ng with backwash arm cleaning shoe and as the backwash arm slowly rotates each filter tube gets b ackflushed sequentially. Once all the filter tubes are backflushed, motor stops along with drain valve closing and will wait for the next preset DP / preset timer signal. A PLC control panel monitors t he complete filter operation.
