Sure, it is usual one working and other standby unit.But after change over upon one of unit choking, no need of opening of the unit for cleaning.The choked filter can be simply backwashed for cleaning and thus will be ready for next change over, all without opening.

Filter media is a bundle of candles with outside to inside flow direction and extremely suitable for backwashing.

Variety of candles are on offer like, welded wedge wire candles, sintered wiremesh candles etc.
